Center Perspectives: Using the Care Net Name, Part 2
This is the second in a series of three posts about Care Net-affiliated pregnancy centers that are finding success using the Care Net name in the name of their center. This post is a Q&A with Margaret Cole at CareNet Pregnancy Medical Center of Dickson, TN. Read the first post here.
Care Net (CN): How long have you been using "Care Net" in your center's name?
Margaret Cole (MC): For 18 years. We opened as “Crisis Pregnancy Services of Middle TN.”
CN: What caused your center to use the Care Net name instead of something else?
MC: For the same reason Care Net is approaching Centers now. To brand the name with the national Care Net.
CN: Have you ever considered changing your name to something without "Care Net" in it?
CN: Describe what you like best about using Care Net in your center name.
MC: Being recognized as part of a national organization and being able to use your promo/ads and not needing to change anything.
CN: Describe what you like least about using Care Net in your center name.
MC: Honestly, I have nothing.
CN: According to our data, centers using Care Net in their name see a higher percentage of at-risk clients than centers who don't. Have you found this to be true in your experience?
MC: Not necessarily. It is more of the name recognition that helps. People who are new to the area may already have heard the name and are more willing to come in or support.
CN: Please share any stories you have about clients or donors where the Care Net name had an impact in some way.
MC: We have had some instances of brand-familiarity with the Care Net name with both clients and donors who have recently moved to his area from other parts of the country and specifically sought out to find a Care Net in their area.
CN: Any other successes you've had at your center you'd like to talk about?'
MC: At our 2018 Banquet in November we shared our desire to develop our men's ministry. The Lord has provided several healthy men who are partnering with Care Net Dickson! This is so exciting. We are visiting several centers in our region to learn how they are thriving in their outreach to men.
CN: How likely are you to recommend the use of the Care Net name to other pregnancy centers? Please explain.
MC: We would be very likely to recommend the use of the Care Net name to other centers because our affiliation comes with so many benefits and brand confidence, as opposed to being an independent center. Care Net has established itself as a reputable name and an affiliation with such makes a positive impact on those involved in any capacity, donor, client, volunteer, etc.
